THIS EASTER WE ASK GOD’S BLESSINGS AND JOY UPON ALL OUR CHURCHES, FAMILIES AND FRIENDS.  It is the highlight of the year for us and deepens our faith and hope that the Lord Jesus came back to life and opened the gates of heaven for us. For me, it affirms my faith in Jesus’ promise that he ‘would return to take me with him’ and the promise of eternal life in his Kingdom awaits his people. Happy Easter from Fr’s Jude, Joe and Paul.

AMALGAMATION OF CHURCHES  UPDATE :- We have already begun the process of creating 1 parish with 3 churches & communities. Please God the more we can do together as the months and years go by. Fr Jude thinks our situation here is more about ‘dotting the i’s and crossing the t’s’ than anything complicated. Leaflets for your ‘name’ suggestions for the overall name of the newly formed parish can be filled it in & return.   WE WILL HAVE A  MEETING TO CONSIDER OPTIONS.

DIVINE MERCY SUNDAY; Devotions are organised by the Legion of Mary at St. Joseph`s Audley Range starting at 2pm Sunday 23rd April Eucharistic Adoration  -  Confessions  -  Blessing and Procession of Divine Mercy Image  -  Holy Mass.

URGENT REQUEST FOR MONEY FOR EASTER FLOWERS:  Please use slot in the door of the Sacristy.  THANKS

HCPT GROUP 72   Our prayers and best wishes to Group 72 who will be in Lourdes this week on their first trip under new management. I’m sure they will remember us all in their prayers at the Grotto. This is Father Jude’s first Easter week at home for 32 years!!

ANNUAL PARISH MISSION APPEAL: This will take place at all three Churches next weekend (22nd/23rd of April.) The Appeal will be delivered by the ‘Comboni Fathers’ who work in some of the most remotest and dangerous places / missions in the world. Two priests will come from the Order so that they can cover all our masses in the 3 Churches. Please do bring extra for them for their retiring collection. Many thanks. Fr Jude

ACTION MOTHER’S PRAYER DATES AT ST. ALBAN’S (All on Wednesdays now starting at 3.30pm)

Next date is this Wednesday 26th April  and every fortnight.

GIFT AID ENVELOPES: Just a thought: They can be put into the Offertory collection in any of the 3 churches and they will ‘Find Their Way Home’ !! to the correct church!!

LET’S HELP THE PARISH FAMILYPlease pray about how each one of us can do more to

strengthen the Parish family & the 3 Churches: We do need help in plenty of ways:

In Church:    Helping with the collection / welcoming people & handing out hymnbooks / Church Cleaning / Reading at Mass / Helping to distribute Holy Communion / Taking Holy Communion to our House bound or poorly parishioners……  we need ideas for times & ways of Prayer / Help with deepening our faith / a sense of outreach to people who could be interested in learning about our faith… list is pretty endless!!  More to come!!

COMMUNION TO THE SICK AND HOUSEBOUND If you know of anyone who would like a regular visit please complete the details on the form below:-

We are grateful to many of our parishioners who have volunteered for this important ministry already. It is part of our priestly duties to visit the sick. We are delighted to be able to support our parishioners in any way.

ACTION 4 CAMBODIA. During our appeal in February we asked for any ideas you may have for raising money for our charity. Today there is a newsletter for you to take away. On the back is a form for you to fill in with your ideas. Please could you return the form to the box which has been placed at the back of church. The box will remain there for 3 weeks. Also at the back of church are forms for anyone wishing to apply “ Gift Aid” and “Standing Orders”. If anyone from Holy Souls is interested in joining the committee of “Action 4 Cambodia” please complete the form on the back of the newsletter and place in the box.

As part of the commitment to foster ministry for and with young people in our Diocese, we are seeking to recruit a Parish Youth Rep in every parish. We are looking for young adults (18-25) who are already a part of the parish and are passionate and confident about enabling/encouraging other young people to share in the life of the parish, deanery and diocese. It is hoped to find a parish youth rep for every parish, however a parish could have more than one!! Full training and support will be given and the Reps will be commissioned by Bishop John. The initial training day is on Saturday 27th May with precise details and venue to be confirmed.

Your support from these boxes last year has helped build 88 churches , chapels and convents; supported training of 300 Missionaries; and provided support to many other essential needs of missionary work. There are still some Red Boxes at the back of church so please feel free to take one home or pop a donation into one of the boxes.. Also please bring in any that are due to be emptied. Thanks you.
