We had a wonderful Pilgrimage with the 13 children this year: The weather was kind ….and shorts appeared on a couple of days too! The children came on in leaps and bounds and the thanks and gratitude of the families have been pouring back to the helpers. It was a ‘tiring week’… quite a few of the children needed 2 helpers with them all the time, 2 others were completely blind… 2 more children in their wheelchairs needed total care… so all in all…. It was very demanding on the whole Group of helpers…. but that is what we do… in Group 72…. No easy ride here!! With the skill set of individuals in the Group and the lengthy preparation & meeting / home & School visits we make we are capable of taking children with multiple & complex needs.

So huge thanks to one and all here for your love and support, we couldn’t do it without you and we prayed for you and yours at our masses and at the Grotto.

God bless & Our Lady of Lourdes Pray for us.

MUMS STORIES (from the Baby Centre Blog)

20  THINGS THAT MAKE HAVING THREE (OR MORE) CHILDREN HARDER!!  (Would the recent 55 year-old mother of triplets find this helpful!!)

1. You will run out of milk all the time, and loo roll and bread. In fact you’ll never have all three items in stock at the same time.

2. You will trip over all the shoes coats and bags at the door at least 3 times a day.

3. You will never be early for anything.

4. The third child will be able to get away with murder because you will have given up.

5. You will never sleep all night in the same bed.

6. You will never reach the bottom of the washing basket.

7 The bathroom floor will never be dry.

8. Cheap family holidays or days out will never apply to you.

9. You will go to bed every night feeling guilty that you haven’t done enough with one of them, normally the middle one.

10. Your neighbours will smile at you but secretly dislike you.

11. You, your children and your house will never all be clean at the same time.

12. Someone always needs a wee.

13. A packet of biscuits lasts approx. 4 minutes.

14. Your car will not be worth anything within 3 weeks of letting three kids in it and will always have a horrible smell that you cannot find the source of.

15. Time away from the children goes very quick.

16. Like Jesus with fish and bread you will be able to make three packed lunches out of some cheese straws, raisins and some dried cereal

17. Your to do list is full of jobs no one else wants to do.

18. You will never have a moment to yourself.

19. No one ever wants to sit in the not quite big enough middle seat in the back of the car.

20. More children than hands breeds anxiety at zebra crossings. Which two would you save.
