Our Lourdes Children and Families and Helpers are going on their Annual Sponsored Walk on Sunday 12th June  -  in a couple of weeks. If you would like to join the big Walk then please take a Sponsor Form from the Church Doors and come along. We depart from the Car Park opposite St Peter & Paul Church  in Barrowford at 12.30. It is a gentle walk along the Canal Bank; we stop for a drink !! we always do !! and return back at Church around 4.30 ish.  The more the merrier  -  we take wheelchairs /  buggies  /  prams  /  OAP’s and pets as well as the fit and healthy  -  so clearly everyone can do it  - and it makes us all a few bob. Many thanks.

The Bishops have written us all a letter for Mass today about the New Translation of the Mass which will be fully introduced in Advent this year. Hopefully as we near the day we will reflect on lots of aspects about Mass. It will give us all the opportunity to pray more deeply about the central act of Worship of our Faith. I sometimes find that if we do things very repetitively they can lose some of their impact and deeper meaning. So if we see these coming changes in this way it will help us to develop our faith and grow ever more in our love and understanding the Mass and the many ways that God comes to us.
