MONTH OF NOVEMBER  In the month of November If you wish to have Mass offered for a particular person, then please use an envelope with the name and an offering and give that back to one of the priests.

 

Christmas Fair: Sunday 29th November in the Club: Run by the HCPT Lourdes Group  -  all good and brand new gifts & Stalls, chocolate tombola , cake stall,  mystery gift tombola and FATHER CHRISTMAS will be there; raffle for two hampers :-one is all M&S other one is “A night in with the DVD” stuff (food goodies etc)– 12.15 pm after the 11-15 Mass

 

ON 8TH DECEMBER  - FEAST OF THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION – will mark the beginning of a YEAR OF MERCY instituted by pope Francis. The 2nd Vatican Council began 50 years ago – we pray that we will all deeply experience the Mercy of God which is spoken of so many times at mass, but which Jesus spoke of on so many occasions.

 

CHRISTMAS TREE COMING AT JUST AFTER 9AM ON Saturday Dec 12th

          We need a few hefty in and lift it up  - PLEASE !!!!

Carol Service in St Alban’s on Thursday 17th December with St Alban’s School.
come along and praise God and sing with our children who got a wonderful Religious Ofsted Inspection Report: Well Done            

More Carol Services here in Church:  All our Local Primary Schools are singing in Church on Wednesday 16th December :  Starts at 6pm  : and id being hosted by our School Choir from Our Lady & St John

 

Second is being run by Dignity Funeral Services and hosted here and open to one and all: It is especially for families who have lost a loved one during 2015.

This will be on Monday 21st December here at St Alban’s at 6pm

FATHER PAUL

As you know Father Paul says masses at all three churches and currently has to rely on taxis and buses since he doesn’t drive. From time to time he has received lifts to take him home or to town but it would be really nice if after masses anyone who might be going his way was able to provide him with a lift. Thank you Father Jude.

 

PADRE PIO PRAYER GROUP

 

The Padre Pio Prayer Group will be having its Monthly Mass this Thursday at The Franciscan Convent at 7pm –Everyone is welcome to the Mass. Prayer meeting every Thursday. Everyone is welcome at any meeting.

ST ALBAN’S SOCIAL CLUB & FAMILY CENTRE

The building adjacent to our church has been a significant facility for this parish; firstly as a school since 1866 but in later years it has been supported by parishioners & their families as their social centre.

MEMBERSHIP  Please consider joining along with friends and neighbours if possible.

MEMBERSHIP FEES for 2015:  Under 65   £5        65 – 79 years £3        Over 80 Free

WANTED:- REGULAR help with keeping St. Alban’s clean and tidy

We have a small but faithful band of men & women who help with the cleaning on Thursday mornings. Owing to illness we are in need of a few more volunteers. If this is something you could help with please come along on Thursdays at 10.00am.
