Father Jude and Father Joe would like to welcome Father Paul Taylor in his priestly ministry here at St Alban’s. Fr Paul is a priest of the O M I Order of Mary Immaculate. He has worked for many years at St Teresa’s in Blackburn. He is a St Anne’s lad as they say, with his roots here in the town. He will help out here in our churches and in the wider area as well.  Father Paul spent some time here at St Alban’s before he went to St Teresa’s and it is a joy and a pleasure to have him caring and praying for us here. All the very best Father Paul

Please keep in your prayers :- Kath O’Malley, Josie Robinson & Gladys Donlan (aged 100)

MASS OFFERINGS:                                                                            Just a gentle reminder. We are so grateful for people asking us to say a mass for people… alive, well, poorly or gone home to God……  and people give a donation for the Mass Intention. When we are given more masses than we can actually during a week we pass them on to Father Thomas & Father Ephraim and their fellow priests to say. The issue is the ‘amount of the donation’. Quite a few years ago £5 was the minimum gift and times etc… have moved onwards and upwards. Most donations are of £10 nowadays. So can I ask you to consider the size of the donation you give for a mass and to know that in a variety of ways your donation goes to help people way beyond St Alban’s. Many thanks.

ACTION 4 CAMBODIA   We should like to thank all those people who supported Mavis’s sky-dive by donating to our charity, collecting sponsors and turning up to watch her on the day. We think that most of the money is in now, but it is still not too late to donate. We are currently heading  towards £2,500. This exceeds all our expectation.

SPONSOR JULIET IN MEMORY OF FR.PETER.

Holy Souls parishioner Juliet Morgan will take part in the Macmillan Trans-Pennine Mighty Hike (26 miles) on July 18th in memory of Fr.Peter. She hopes to raise £250 for Macmillan in his name. If you would like to help her by making a donation, you can do so on line at her Just Giving page.

EUCHARISTIC RALLY ON THE FEAST OF CORPUS CHRISTI  Please come along at 3pm on Sunday 7th June. The Legion of Mary will be having a procession of the Blessed Sacrament  together  with  rosary and prayers of adoration, hymns and Benediction.

FATHER PETER’S GIFT TO US.  Fr.Peter’s legacy to us as a parish and as individuals is immense. In addition, however, the Diocese has formed us that he left Holy Souls a bequest in his will. This will be discussed at the next meeting of the Parish Council. As usual, all are welcome.
